For the past twenty years, Best Lawyers has published the special edition of "The Best Lawyers in America," the nation's oldest peer-reviewed lawyer publication. WilmerHale Partner Lori Martin was selected to this year's New York City list and also named a "Lawyer of the Year"—an esteemed honor that only seven of the 368 New York women received.

Martin's practice focuses on litigation and regulatory proceedings involving investment advisers, open and closed-end investment companies, hedge funds, and broker dealers offering investment advisory services.

In addition to Martin's honor, Partner and former Attorney Deputy General Jamie Gorelick is the keynote speaker for the "Women in the Law" event on May 1 at The Piemonte Room at Del Posto in New York City, which honors and celebrates these influential female attorneys.  She is a long-standing member of the Advisory Board of Best Lawyers and has been on its "Best Lawyers" list since its founding.

Gorelick's diverse experience in both the public and private sectors-combined with her experience in the corporate boardroom and in the international arena provides a unique outlook while demonstrating and motivating leadership for female attorneys.
