Antitrust Group Secures Merger Clearance for $1.3 Billion Acquisition

The firm secured US merger clearance for Brambles Limited's $1.3 billion acquisition of IFCO Systems NV. Both IFCO and Brambles, through its CHEP subsidiary, are leading providers of pallet services in the United States. Brambles took majority control of IFCO on March 31, 2011, several months ahead of schedule.

The WilmerHale team representing Brambles was led by Partners Bill Kolasky and Jim Lowe and Counsel Avery Gardiner, and included Special Counsel Jeff Ayer, Senior Associates Stacy Frazier and Ken Merber, Counsel Ruediger Schuett, Associates Curtis Strong and Randy Weinsten, Attorney Jeffrey Schomig and Staff Attorney Kristin Ellis, along with former associate Brian Simmonds.
