VLA Honors WilmerHale with Champion of Creative Justice Award

Recognition

WilmerHale was recognized by the Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts (VLA), a program of the Arts & Business Council of Greater Boston, with its Champion of Creative Justice Award at the organization's annual fundraising event on June 10 in Boston. John Hobgood, a partner in the firm’s intellectual property practice and longtime supporter of VLA, accepted the award on behalf of the firm.

The recognition highlights WilmerHale's steadfast commitment to pro bono legal service for artists, arts organizations and creative professionals. Through its partnership with VLA, the firm has provided corporate and intellectual property advice to lower-income artists and nonprofit cultural organizations, thereby strengthening the arts and creative community across the region.

The event, held at the Boston Public Library's Courtyard Tea Room, brought together supporters, community partners and artists to celebrate the impact of pro bono legal assistance and creative advocacy.
