Financial Times Names Anjan Sahni Among 50 Leaders Defining the Future of Law

Recognition

WilmerHale Managing Partner Anjan Sahni has been named to the inaugural FT Law 50, the Financial Times’ new global list spotlighting 50 influential lawyers shaping the legal and financial services sectors.

As managing partner, Sahni leads the firm's strategic direction while continuing to counsel companies, boards and senior executives on government investigations, white-collar defense, and complex commercial litigation. His practice concentrates on high-stakes regulatory inquiries, internal investigations and crisis matters. In 2025, Sahni was named a finalist for Managing Partner of the Year in the American Lawyer Industry Awards. That year under his leadership WilmerHale was named Best Law Firm of the Year by American Lawyer.

Before joining WilmerHale, Sahni spent more than a decade as a federal prosecutor in the US Attorney's Office for the Southern District of New York, where he held senior leadership roles including Chief of the Securities and Commodities Fraud Task Force and Co-Chief of the Terrorism and International Narcotics Unit.

A consistent voice on the importance of the rule of law, Sahni has guided the firm through some of the most consequential moments facing the legal profession in recent years. His leadership reflects a commitment to public service, principled client advocacy, and the enduring values that have long defined WilmerHale.
