WilmerHale Participates in Partnership for New York’s Career Discovery Week

Firm News

On April 16, WilmerHale’s New York office welcomed high school students from Brooklyn Technical High School as part of Partnership for New York’s Career Discovery Week, a citywide initiative that connects students with employers across New York City and introduces them to a wide range of professional paths

Throughout the day, students participated in interactive programming designed to provide insight into the legal profession and essential workplace skills. The program included an office tour, an attorney panel and small‑group discussions, and hands‑on sessions focused on interviewing, elevator pitches, and professional communication. The day concluded with a speed‑interviewing exercise, allowing students to practice interviewing skills and receive individualized feedback from WilmerHale volunteers.

Students described the experience as both encouraging and informative. As one student shared, “I enjoyed learning about different law backgrounds that reaffirmed that I don’t need everything figured out.”

WilmerHale’s participation in Career Discovery Week reflects the firm’s ongoing commitment to community engagement and to helping students explore future educational and career opportunities.
