Jamie Gorelick Honored with Lifetime Achievement Award at The National Law Journal’s 2025 Legal Awards

Jamie Gorelick, Chair of WilmerHale’s Regulatory and Government Affairs Department, received the Lifetime Achievement Award at The National Law Journal’s 2025 Legal Awards. This prestigious honor recognizes Gorelick’s extraordinary five-decade career, marked by her leadership, integrity, and impact across the legal, government, and corporate sectors. 

Widely regarded as one of the nation’s most distinguished lawyers, Gorelick has represented leading companies and individuals in high-stakes regulatory and enforcement matters and has guided clients through some of the most complex crises in recent years.  

Her government service includes one of the longest tenures as Deputy Attorney General of the United States, as well as senior roles at the Department of Defense, Department of Energy, and as a member of the bipartisan 9/11 Commission. She is also a respected leader in corporate governance, serving on the boards of Amazon and Verisign, and has been recognized for her advocacy and mentorship, especially in advancing women in the legal profession. 

Reflecting on her career, Gorelick said in her National Law Journal interview, “I have never shied away from work that challenged the status quo, and I’ve always tried to be reliable in controversial moments.” Her enduring commitment to public service, pro bono work, and professional ethics has shaped the legal landscape and inspired generations of lawyers. This well-deserved recognition highlights a career that stands as a model of excellence in the profession.
