WilmerHale Honored with MCCA’s Thomas L. Sager Award for the Second Consecutive Year

The Minority Corporate Counsel Association (MCAA) recognized WilmerHale with its 2025 Thomas L. Sager Award, which honors law firms committed to building a more inclusive legal industry. This is the second year in a row WilmerHale has received this annual prestigious award, which goes to only one law firm in the nation.

Three law firms were shortlisted as finalists for the Sager Award, with WilmerHale announced as the winner at the MCCA Gala held in New York City on October 14. Managing Partner Anjan Sahni accepted the award on behalf of the firm.

“Along with excellence, integrity and dedication to public service, inclusion and opportunity have always been core tenets of WilmerHale," Sahni said in his remarks. "Throughout our firm’s history, our values have made it possible for us to field the top talent, attract the most challenging work and achieve astonishing results for our clients.”

Established in 1999, this award is named after DuPont Senior Vice President and General Counsel Thomas L. Sager, who championed opportunity and access as drivers of stronger companies. The award is known as one of the profession’s leading benchmarks of a commitment to inclusivity, opportunity and access, the award recognizes law firms that “demonstrate a sustained commitment to improving the opportunities available to attorneys of all backgrounds.”
