On April 23, Partner Matthew Kulkin was elected to the Futures Industry Association (FIA) Law & Compliance Committee’s Executive Committee.

The Law & Compliance Committee monitors legal and regulatory developments affecting the futures and derivatives industry, assisting FIA in providing information to help relevant regulators and courts make decisions that affect the futures and cleared swaps community, according to the organization.

Kulkin, Chair of WilmerHale’s Futures and Derivatives Practice, has nearly two decades of experience in government and private practice and previously served as a CFTC Division Director. He often advises clients on newly adopted rules and areas of increased regulatory focus in the commodity futures and derivatives market.
