Erik Swabb Receives Veteran Leadership Recognition from Diversity Journal

Recognition

Partner Erik Swabb has been honored with Diversity Journal’s Q3 2024 Veteran Leadership award. According to the publication, Veteran Leaders are “confident, determined, high-performing, purpose-driven professionals who create value for their coworkers, customers, community and of course, the organizations where they contribute their talents.”

Profiles in Diversity Journal is a quarterly magazine that spotlights, promotes and supports individuals in underrepresented groups for their contributions to their respective fields.

Erik Swabb is a partner in the Defense, National Security and Government Contracts Practice at WilmerHale. His practice focuses on high-stakes investigations, litigation and strategic counseling related to national security and government contracting. He regularly conducts internal investigations and has successfully resolved inquiries by federal inspectors general, the Department of Justice, the Department of Defense, Congress and other government entities. He also represents clients in government contract litigation and advises on regulatory, legislative and policy matters related to national security.

“Serving in the Marine Corps was a formative experience for me and every day as a lawyer I draw on what I learned, particularly what it means to be a leader. Like other military services, the Marine Corps is a mission-driven organization that also cares deeply about its members. A common motto is ‘Mission First, Marines Always,’” said Swabb in his profile. “My legal practice—representing clients in high-stakes investigations—requires similar all-consuming dedication to achieving the client’s objectives, while recognizing the importance of the larger team to accomplish that mission. Members of that team need to be trained, mentored, led and valued.”
