Partner Jonathan Yarowsky is among those “who shape the laws that govern the country and ultimately affect the course of history,” according to Washingtonian. The magazine named Yarowsky to its list of the most influential people in the nation’s capital for the second consecutive year.
The list consists of the top 500 individuals who utilize their deep subject-matter expertise and significant understanding of the city’s innerworkings to drive policy. Yarowsky, who co-chairs WilmerHale’s Public Policy and Legislative Affairs Practice, is one of 13 individuals to make the list in the antitrust category.
Yarowsky provides strategic counsel and multi-branch advocacy to clients in an array of areas including antitrust, telecommunications policy, intellectual property and healthcare. His multi-dimensional practice spans legislative and regulatory advocacy, congressional investigations and administrative practice and procedure. Washingtonian notes that he is currently working with the Biden administration and the Judiciary and Commerce committees to end discriminatory pricing on small and midsize industry competitors and major players “by reanimating enforcement of rarely enforced antitrust laws.”
Before joining WilmerHale, Yarowsky held several senior-level positions in the federal government, including serving as Special Counsel to President Clinton. Prior to his position at the White House, he served as General Counsel of the House Committee on the Judiciary where he developed a series of antitrust bills that were enacted into law. His wealth of experience and subject-matter knowledge have made him a highly sought-out thought leader on antitrust and other policy issues.
