Boston Business Journal featured WilmerHale and Hyde Square Task Force (HSTF) in the latest edition of its monthly series, Partners with a Purpose. The series highlights effective and unique partnerships between private companies and nonprofits.

WilmerHale and HSTF have worked together for over a decade to empower young people in the Boston community. HSTF is a creative youth development organization that utilizes Afro-Latin-inspired arts and culture to amplify the power, creativity and voices of Boston’s youth. Since 2011, WilmerHale has contributed to HSTF’s goal of developing future generations of changemakers and advocates through charitable donations, pro bono legal representation, volunteering and providing mentorship and summer employment to young people.

Excerpt: “There are a lot of great organizations in the city, but there is something really special about this one,” said Stephanie Lin, a WilmerHale lawyer on the board of Hyde Square Task Force.

Hyde Square Task Force, located in Jamaica Plain, gives the youth power to find the confidence to become community leaders themselves, Lin said.
