Peggy Otum Recognized by Diversity Journal as a “Woman Worth Watching in Leadership”

Recognition

Peggy Otum, a San Francisco–based partner, was featured in Diversity Journal’s 2021 “Women Worth Watching in Leadership.” The 20th annual issue recognizes professional women who have distinguished themselves as leaders in their respective fields.

Otum joined WilmerHale as the co-chair of the Energy, Environment and Natural Resources Practice just four months before the first COVID-19 pandemic lockdowns in early 2020. In her featured profile, Otum discusses how she tailored her leadership style to meet the needs of her team and clients in crisis. Otum asserts that open and honest communication is key to fostering a team identity when navigating life online, especially in a time defined by uncertainty.

Otum’s concerted effort to guide her team and clients through this historic moment has made her a leader to watch, and she intends to use the leadership values that helped her navigate the crisis long after the current historic crisis has passed.
