Ambassador Robert M. Kimmitt has been named to Intel Corporation’s newly formed government affairs advisory committee, which will provide a range of perspectives to Intel leaders on global governmental and political matters.
Kimmitt serves as WilmerHale’s senior international counsel and co-chair of the firm’s Crisis Management and Strategic Response Group. He will be one of eight inaugural members of the advisory committee from across the United States, European Union and China who will bring his unique skills, experience and perspective to Intel’s leadership and board of directors as Intel and the technology and semiconductor industries address a surging demand for semiconductors, the impact of worldwide chip shortages and the importance of public-private partnerships to ensure a balanced global semiconductor manufacturing supply chain.
“The eight distinguished members of our new advisory committee bring decades of combined global government and business experiences, and valuable perspectives from outside Intel’s walls,” said Intel CEO Pat Gelsinger. “Their insights will help Intel navigate growing complexities in today’s world of social challenges, pandemics and global semiconductor shortages as we stay true to our mission of breakthrough technology improving the lives of every human on the planet.”
