Erin Sloane, a WilmerHale partner, has been recognized as a 2021 Notable Woman in Law by Crain’s New York Business.

As a part of the honor, Crain’s New York published a featured profile on Ms. Sloane. In August 2019, Ms. Sloane was tapped by the US Department of Justice and the Securities and Exchange Commission to serve as an independent Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) compliance monitor for a German health care company. With this appointment, she become only the fourth woman named as an FCPA monitor in the past decade. The Crain’s profile also highlights her extensive experience in government and internal investigations, white-collar criminal matters, and FCPA and international anti-corruption issues. Outside of the firm, Ms. Sloane is a founder of the Innocence Project’s Young Professionals Committee, a well-known non-profit that raises money to support the Innocence Project’s invaluable work.

According to the publication, those honored were “chosen not only for their skills and accomplishments, but also for their efforts to shore up the edifice of justice.” Each notable lawyer was selected for her professional achievements and pro bono work or involvement in industry and community organizations.
