Stuart Bruce Appointed to Steering Committee of Greener Arbitrations

London-based Senior Associate Stuart Bruce has joined the Steering Committee for Greener Arbitrations.
 
Founded in 2019, Greener Arbitrations aims to promote awareness of the carbon footprint of the arbitration sector and to reduce its environmental impact. Greener Arbitrations has undertaken studies into the environmental impact of arbitration proceedings and of various actors in the arbitration field. The organization is developing best practice guides on how to minimize the carbon footprint of law firms, arbitrator practices, arbitration proceedings, and arbitration institutions, venues, and conferences. The Steering Committee comprises arbitrators and individuals from law firms, arbitration institutions, hearing venues, third party funders, conference organizers, legal journalists, legal technology providers and corporate clients. In July 2020, Greener Arbitrations won the Global Arbitration Review award for Best Development for its contribution to addressing climate change.
