WilmerHale Again Ranks as a Best Law Firm for Women

Firm News

Working Mother magazine and Flex-Time Lawyers has again named WilmerHale as a Best Law Firm for Women. The firm has received the honor every year since the list came out in 2007.

The goal of the Best Law Firms for Women list is to recognize industry leaders, like WilmerHale, that have established initiatives for business development and career advancement for women attorneys. Firms must also make flexible work schedules and substantial paid parental leave a priority. A total of 50 firms made the 2016 list.

Among WilmerHale's highlights was its ratio of female equity partners (25%)—the national average was 18%—and its focus on “[f]lexibility, not facetime,” giving attorneys the option to work flex schedules or telecommute. The report also noted that WilmerHale's partner track is accommodating; it can range from 8.5-12.5 years.

The firm has repeatedly ranked as one of the top law firms for women attorneys. It landed on Law360's Top 100 Best Law Firms for Female Attorneys in May, received a Gold Standard Award for promoting female attorneys from Women in Law Empowerment Forum in June and was named to the Top Ten Family Friendly Firms list this month by Yale Law Women.
