The WMACCA will be hosting an event giving attendees updated information on the ever changing accounting standards.

A new accounting standard for business combinations called SFAS 141 (revised) has recently been adopted. This new standard, which will apply to most companies beginning January 1, 2009, will substantially alter how acquisitions are accounted for and the new standard will have a major impact on deal planning, due diligence and deal metrics.
