WilmerHale is hosting a lunch on Friday, April 20, during the ABA's Antitrust Section Spring Meeting.Ourprincipal guest speaker will beAmbassador Charlene Barshefsky,who served asUnited State Trade Representativeduring the Clinton Administration and who was instrumental in helping China become a member of the WTO.Ambassador Barshefsky will speak about US-China trade relations generally and about how they are likely to be impacted by China's enactment of anti-monopoly legislation.We are also honored to haveDr. Lars-Hendrik Roller, who served as the first chief economist of DG Competition in the European Commission. Dr. Roller, who is now affiliated with the economic consulting group, Bates White,will present brief remarks about the impact the chief economist positionhas had on competition enforcement in Brussels.We are fortunate to have two such distinguished speakers and look forward to the opportunity of seeing many of you at this luncheon.
