For global companies, the international regulatory landscape is increasingly complex, navigating litigation in emerging markets is difficult and executive liability risks are growing worldwide. With the ever-present threat of protracted litigation, cost to a company's reputation could be compounded by legal -- and financial -- liabilities. Many countries and jurisdictions require local operations and subsidiaries to carry locally-admitted liability coverage. Even where it’s not required, it often makes good risk management sense.
