The second episode in the FTI Consulting International Arbitration Debating Series will be held on Wednesday April, 14 2021. 

The debate will consist of two teams made up of senior arbitration lawyers debating the hot topic "The choice of valuation date in unlawful expropriations: the cleaver should fall on the State."

Debating for the motion will be Ken Beale (King & Spalding, Washington DC), Floriane Lavaud (Debevoise & Plimpton, New York) and Silvia Marchili (White & Case, Houston). On the other side against the motion will be Dr. Carlos Alberto Arrue Montenegro (Panama Canal Authority, Panama City), William Hooker (Boies Schiller Flexner, London) and Diana Tsutieva (Foley Hoag, Washington DC). 

The debate will be judged by Dr. Claudia Annacker (Dechert, Paris), John Pierce (WilmerHale, New York) and Eduardo Zuleta (Zuleta Abogados Asociados, Bogota) who will be providing their opinions on the matter. Karthik Balisagar, Senior Managing Director at FTI Consulting, London, will moderate this event.
