At the 2020 IPO Virtual Annual Meeting, WilmerHale Partner Cindy Vreeland spoke on “How to Develop and Implement a Crisis-Resistant IP Strategy,” addressing the impacts of a crisis on all facets of IP litigation. Cindy and co-panelists Krish Gupta (Dell Technologies) and Matthew Jorgenson (Boston Scientific Corp.) discussed how to design and organize an IP portfolio to have built-in priority and value rankings to ensure that the highest value assets do not go unattended during a crisis; how to ensure that client services, teamwork, and collaboration do not change; and whether to and how to modulate strategy, approach, and expenses during active litigation when a crisis hits.
