In arbitration proceedings, fact witness testimony is often an essential form of evidence. Parties usually provide written witness statements in the context of their written submissions. The witnesses are then subjected to direct and cross-examination, as well as questions from the arbitral tribunal, during the evidentiary hearing.

On April 29, WilmerHale International Arbitration Special Counsel Dr. Sarah Ganz will be speaking on a panel titled “Witnesses in Arbitration Proceedings” at this year’s International Chamber of Commerce Young Arbitrators Forum in Zurich, Switzerland.

During this conference, arbitrators from different backgrounds will share their experience dealing with fact witnesses in arbitration proceedings.
