The ABA's 2018 White Collar Crime National Institute marks its 32nd consecutive year February 28 through March 2, 2018 in San Diego. This annual gathering of the national white collar bar is attended by leading federal and state judges and prosecutors, law enforcement officials, defense attorneys, corporate in-house counsel and members of the academic community. Panelists will provide valuable updates on new developments and strategies in white collar law.
WilmerHale Partner Lori Echavarria will participate on the panel “Audit Committee Investigations and the Role of Outside Accountants.” This panel will consider ethical issues confronted by counsel in dealing with audit committees and outside auditors, including how to protect the attorney-client privilege and work product protection, coordinating their work with company counsel, and, where disclosures are made, with the government.
