This year’s Lawyer’s MBA will focus on the life-blood of corporate creation, growth, and expansion – capital raising transactions – so that in-house counsel will have the tools to advise management on these often pivotal multi-million dollar deals. This program will cover the basics of financial accounting, the elements of a capital structure depending on the development state of a business and the financing needs of a company, and the form and terms of different kinds of debt and equity capital. The program features a hands-on case study and workshops, in which experienced legal practitioners and financial specialists apply the business concepts to the development and negotiation of legal terms and conditions in a typical financing agreement.
