On March 8, 2013, US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) published a new version of Form I-9 (Employment Eligibility Verification Form). Employers are encouraged to begin using the new version of the form immediately and will be required to do so after May 7, 2013. The new form is two pages, and includes expanded instructions and new fields for email address, phone number and foreign passport. The form can be found at http://www.uscis.gov/files/form/i-9.pdf.
