In an article recently republished in the Harvard Law School Forum on Corporate Governance and Financial Regulation, Bill McLucas, Chair of WilmerHale's Securities Department, discusses key SEC enforcement activities in 2014 and gives his perspective on current trends. As Bill notes, in 2014 the SEC Enforcement Division has responded to SEC Chair White's call for a more aggressive enforcement program, and he believes that "both the aggressive tone and positions the SEC has taken in recent years will continue."
