Making Connections

Blog Kimberly Crowley

crowley-p3pic1This week I had an epiphany. With only a few weeks left of WilmerHale’s summer program, the lawyers at the firm continue to remind us summer associates to reach out and make connections while we are here. At first, I thought this was just a suggestion to engage in your average, awkward networking. However, I recently realized that the more people I meet, the more comfortable I feel at this firm and the more I learn about its culture and talent.

That’s not the epiphany part—this is: After recognizing how important meeting people has been to my experience, I realized that my readers will never really know what it’s like to be a summer associate at WilmerHale unless they meet more summer associate than just me. So, I decided to use this post to introduce you to my coworkers. The original idea was for me to write about the people I have met and how amazing they are; however, after a few dozen drafts, I conceded that I could not do them justice. My coworkers are amazing, and so, in this post, I am having them take over. By the end, you will have a much better understanding of why I love this place—more of an understanding than I could ever give on my own.
