William Desmond's practice focuses on matters involving antitrust and competition law. He has advised clients in criminal and civil antitrust investigations involving the US Department of Justice and state attorneys general. Mr. Desmond has experience in antitrust matters across a number of sectors, including the entertainment, financial services, and defense and security industries.

Mr. Desmond previously worked at the firm as a summer associate. He also served as a legal intern in the Economic Crimes Unit of the US Attorney's Office for the District of Massachusetts, and in the Educational Opportunities Section of the US Department of Justice Civil Rights Division. Additionally, he worked as an intern investigator at Orleans Public Defender in Louisiana.
