Commercial and Bankruptcy TELECOMMUNICATIONS

Changes in economic conditions present clients with opportunities for strategic acquisitions of telecommunications and other technology assets from distressed companies. Our commercial lawyers work with clients to structure these transactions, often through bankruptcy sales, to minimize risks while enhancing asset value. We provide counseling on alternative financing arrangements and obtaining critical credit facilities and senior debt, subordinated debt and lease financing. When necessary, we help restructure obligations and complete corporate reorganizations through both in- and out-of-court procedures.

Recently, we confirmed a Chapter 11 plan for Arch Wireless, the largest wireless messaging service provider in the United States, in just over five months. The plan, which preserved the company as an operating wireless service provider, restructured more than $2 billion in bank debt, publicly traded high-yield bonds and notes and trade debt.
