Tao Xu has experience with foreign direct investment, mergers and acquisitions and general corporate matters. She has advised many clients in the pharmaceutical, publishing, high-tech, consumer products and service industries with respect to their direct investment, restructuring and strategic expansion in China. She is also familiar with foreign trade and regulatory compliance issues.

Prior to joining WilmerHale, Ms. Xu worked with another leading US law firm for two years. Previously, while based in the US, she was an in-house counsel of a multinational pharmaceutical company, where she advised management on such legal matters as IP licenses and regulatory issues affecting business in Asia.

Ms. Xu received her LLM from the University of Connecticut School of Law majoring in US Legal Studies. She received her LLB, with honors, from the Capital University of Economics and Business. She is fluent in English and a native Mandarin speaker.
