Santiago Bejarano is a senior associate who focuses primarily on international arbitration matters. Mr. Bejarano's practice also includes internal investigations and white collar criminal matters, where he focuses on international anti-corruption issues. His dual qualification as an attorney in Colombia and New York allows him to efficiently and effectively advise clients on matters involving Latin American jurisdictions and parties. Prior to rejoining the New York office, Mr. Bejarano was based in the firm's London office.

Mr. Bejarano has been involved in international arbitrations held under various rules and institutions, including ICC, ICDR, UNCITRAL and ICSID. He has experience in commercial and investor-state arbitration spanning a range of industries, including the energy, pharmaceutical and luxury goods markets.

Prior to joining WilmerHale, Mr. Bejarano was an associate at a leading law firm in Bogotá, Colombia and a member of a leading international dispute resolution team in Paris. He has academic experience as an Associate Professor of Corporations at the Universidad Del Rosario in Bogotá, Colombia.

Mr. Bejarano received the Legal Aid Society's 2015 Pro Bono Publico award for his work assisting low-income clients in immigration-related matters.

Professional Activities

Mr. Bejarano is a member of the Advisory Committee of the Colombian Chapter of the Spanish Arbitration Association (CEA); the Latin American Arbitration Association (ALARB); the International Bar Association (IBA); the Young ICCA; the ICC Young Arbitrators Forum (YAF); and the LCIA Young International Arbitration Group (YIAG).
