A sampling of matters includes:

  • Representing a premier residential and mixed-use developer on numerous projects, including:
    • a $135 million 241-unit residential apartment and retail project, including 31 affordable units, located on air rights leased from the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority;
    • a transit-oriented development containing 116 units of mixed-income housing and 10,000 square feet of neighborhood retail stores;
    • a $109 million mixed-income HOPE VI housing community, which has received recognition for its focus on energy efficiency and serves as a model for "green" affordable housing development;
    • a $40 million mixed-finance HUD and tax credit equity syndication repositioning a public housing project in the Roslindale neighborhood of Boston; and
    • an $800 million mass-transit-oriented, mixed-use development in Lowell, Massachusetts. 
  • Representing a mutual fund company its equity investment in, and development of, numerous multi-family apartment and high-rise condominium projects in Florida, Nevada, Arizona, New Jersey and Washington.
  • Representing a mutual fund company in the acquisition and financing of more than $500 million of multi-family apartment properties located throughout the United States. 
  • Representing a private equity firm in a co-investment joint venture with the country's largest public pension system for the purchase and development of apartment projects in the eastern United States.
  • Representing a private equity firm in the formation of a joint venture to acquire, develop, finance and sell a luxury multi-family project in West Goshen, Pennsylvania.
  • Representing a national developer in the development and financing of large multi-family projects in Quincy and Waltham, Massachusetts.
  • Representing the developers of high-rise luxury waterfront condominium projects in Boston's Charlestown Navy Yard. 
  • Representing a private equity firm in the acquisition of a portfolio of multi-family properties in Florida, valued at $180 million.
  • Representing a private equity firm in its acquisition of a portfolio of "workforce" housing in New York City, valued at $164 million.
  • Representing the owner in the redevelopment and sale of Boston's Russia Wharf as a 900,000-square-foot mixed-use hotel, office and residential facility.
  • Representing the developer in the development and financing of a high-rise, luxury condominium project in Boston's Copley Square.
  • Representing an institutional investor in the financial and ownership restructuring and sale of a $100 million troubled multi-family condominium development in southern California.
  • Representing the owner on a $146 million sale of two residential towers in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
