Representative transactions include:

  • Through our Berlin office, advising European clients on real estate transactions totaling more than €1.5 billion in value, including leasing, asset management, construction projects, contract negotiations, and litigation matters.
  • Representing a life sciences REIT in the development of a 750,000-square-foot international science facility in Toronto and a $50 million acquisition and leaseback of the Vaccine Research Centre in Quebec.
  • Representing a US real estate firm in acquisitions of office buildings and shopping centers in Canada.
  • Representing a private equity adviser on behalf of its European and domestic investors in real estate investments totaling more than 3,000,000 square feet of office, retail, hotel and industrial space in cities across the eastern United States.
  • Representing a developer in the acquisition, debt and equity financing, branding, and subsequent development of the first five-star hotel in Iceland.
  • Advising a client on a multi-billion dollar coastal development in Asia to be anchored by a resort casino and to include tens of thousands of square feet of residential, office and retail space, a sports arena and a championship golf course.
  • Representing a Mexican investor in the acquisition of a 100-room Rocky Mountain resort hotel out of bankruptcy.
  • Representing a US-based developer in a joint venture to develop a $20 billion urban center in Incheon, South Korea.
  • Advising a US chemical supply company concerning the development of a manufacturing facility in Barry, Wales.
  • Acquiring real estate facilities for an international investment adviser involving leases and contracts for office facilities in 12 countries on five continents, including projects in New York, London, Paris, Tokyo, Singapore, Hong Kong, Sydney and Santiago.
