Shack, Rachel

Rachel Shack's practice focuses on all aspects of real estate law. She represents investors, developers and operators in joint ventures, acquisitions, developments, leases and financing transactions.

Prior to joining WilmerHale, Ms. Shack was a summer law clerk at a commercial litigation firm in New Orleans, LA, researching and writing memoranda regarding insurance coverage, bad faith and commercial disputes. Prior to law school, Ms. Shack was a reading interventionist with ReNEW Schools in New Orleans, where she planned and executed daily interventions for elementary school students who were significantly below grade level, leading small groups in guided reading lessons focused on improving critical thinking, comprehension, fluency and word decoding skills. For three years, Ms. Shack worked for Teach for America. She was a second grade teacher in New Orleans and then served as a recruitment director in Boston, MA. Ms. Shack was also a member of the Duke Women's Lacrosse team, which reached the Final Four all four years.
