Karen Velez represents public and private companies on a wide range of corporate law matters. She was a summer associate at WilmerHale in 2021.

While attending law school, Ms. Velez was a student attorney at the BU/MIT Technology Law Clinic. In that role, she provided counsel to life sciences and technology ventures, including drafting privacy policies and advising on best practices for General Data Protection Regulation compliance. Previously, Ms. Velez was a compliance extern at Boston Medical Center and a legal fellow at the Pacific Juvenile Defender Center in California. Prior to law school, she worked as an international trade paralegal at a global law firm in Washington, DC.
