Senior Associate

Scott Bertulli is a senior associate who has extensive patent litigation and ITC experience from pre-suit investigations through trial preparation. In particular, his practice includes development of infringement or invalidity contentions, hands-on analysis of infringing products and technical documents, and steering technical expert and source code discovery. He also represents both petitioners and patent owners in inter partes review proceedings before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board, engaging in all phases of the IPR process, including development of petitions and responses, handling unique additional discovery and briefing issues, and preparing for and taking deposition of experts and other declarants. His work in both litigation and post-grant practice has spanned a broad range of technology fields, including video encoding, end-to-end content delivery systems, communication protocols, signal processing, semiconductor device fabrication, portable devices and a variety of consumer electronics.

Mr. Bertulli previously worked as an engineer developing advanced radar systems, designing electrical performance models, and managing system engineering program tasks, budgets and personnel at Raytheon Company and MIT Lincoln Laboratory.

Mr. Bertulli is admitted to practice in Massachusetts, before the United States Patent and Trademark Office and in the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts.
