Rob Donoghue has a diverse litigation practice with an emphasis on securities litigation and enforcement and complex commercial disputes. He represents public and private companies, financial institutions, and their officers and directors in securities fraud class actions, shareholder derivative lawsuits, insurance and consumer class actions, mergers and acquisitions disputes, and regulatory enforcement matters. Mr. Donoghue also represents clients in connection with internal corporate and federal and state government investigations.

Mr. Donoghue has drafted dispositive motions and legal briefs at all stages of litigation, including motions to dismiss, discovery disputes, class certification, motions in limine and appellate briefs. He has also taken and defended depositions, prepared witnesses for testimony and managed complex discovery matters. Mr. Donoghue maintains an active pro bono practice, with an emphasis on providing legal services to low-income clients in housing-related matters.

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Donoghue served as a law clerk for the Honorable Landya B. McCafferty of the United States District Court for the District of New Hampshire.

While attending law school, Mr. Donoghue was a legal intern in the Consumer Protection Division of the Massachusetts Attorney General’s Office, where he researched and drafted memoranda on data privacy, cybersecurity and consumer protection issues. He was also a legal intern at Ocean Spray Cranberries, Inc., a research and teaching assistant for Professor Mary O’Connell, and an Articles Editor for the Northeastern University Law Review.
