Kevin A. Goldman

Kevin Goldman is a counsel in the Litigation/Controversy Department, and a member of the Intellectual Property Litigation Practice Group. He joined the firm in 2011.

Practice

Mr. Goldman's practice focuses on intellectual property matters. He has represented companies in patent disputes involving a diverse array of technologies, including wireless communications, radio frequency identification (RFID), web commerce and database systems, user interfaces, medical devices, textiles, spread spectrum technology, network visualization and power management. He has also represented clients in copyright, trademark, contract, class action, inverse condemnation and products liability matters. Mr. Goldman has litigated cases in various jurisdictions across the United States and before the US International Trade Commission. His practice has encompassed all facets of litigation, including discovery, settlement, alternative dispute resolution, summary judgment, trials and appeals, and his appellate experience includes oral argument before both state and federal courts, including the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.

From 2006 to 2007, Mr. Goldman clerked with the Honorable William C. Bryson of the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. While in law school, he served as a research assistant for Professor R. Polk Wagner, focusing on the areas of patent portfolios, claim construction, software regulation and fair use. Mr. Goldman served as a senior editor of the University of Pennsylvania Law Review, a Marshall-Brennan Constitutional law fellow, and co-captain of the National Moot Court Team. Mr. Goldman graduated magna cum laude, and was elected to the Order of the Coif.
