Chris D. Hampson

Chris Hampson represents clients on a variety of bankruptcy and financial restructuring matters, including insolvency, disputes and project finance.

Prior to joining WilmerHale, Mr. Hampson was a law clerk for the Honorable Richard A. Posner of the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit. Previously, Mr. Hampson was a summer law clerk at a firm in Miami, Florida, where he conducted legal research across a variety of practices, with an emphasis on financial restructuring.

In 2014, Mr. Hampson was a research assistant for Professor John Witte, Jr. In that role, Mr. Hampson conducted legal and interdisciplinary research for a book project on the functions of law, including the expressive function of law, behavioral law and economics, and alternative sanctions.

Before his graduate studies, Mr. Hampson was a director of content development and independent researcher at The Veritas Forum, where he directed academic dialogue events at elite universities and researched new content in law, psychology, religion, economics and business.
