Benjamin Chapin

Benjamin Chapin is a litigator who focuses his practice on complex civil litigation, government enforcement matters and internal investigations.

Mr. Chapin has a broad range of commercial, government and regulatory litigation experience, having represented clients in the defense or prosecution of claims alleging securities fraud, violations of the False Claims Act, price fixing under the Sherman Act, breach of contract, violations of consumer protection and unfair competition statutes, unjust enrichment and defamation. He has also represented clients in connection with investigations and enforcement matters conducted by the Department of Justice and FINRA, as well as internal investigations. In addition, Mr. Chapin has helped to advise firm clients on regulatory matters, risk management in connection with high-value transactions and corporate strategy.

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Chapin served as a law clerk to the Honorable Nicholas G. Garaufis of the US District Court for the Eastern District of New York. He previously worked as an associate at a law firm in New York.
