Alexandra Lavin’s practices focuses on securities litigation and enforcement matters. She has represented numerous financial services, technology, and life sciences companies and their officers and directors against breach of fiduciary duty claims and securities fraud allegations, including in class actions, derivative litigation, false claims act actions, and mergers and acquisitions disputes.

Ms. Lavin has experience in all phases of litigation, from pleadings and fact discovery to summary judgment and trial. She has appeared at trial, prepared witnesses for and taken depositions, managed electronic discovery efforts, and drafted evidentiary and dispositive motions. Her investigations experience includes internal investigations, as well as both civil and criminal investigations brought by the US Securities and Exchange Commission and Department of Justice. 

Ms. Lavin rejoined the firm following a clerkship with the Honorable Indira Talwani of the US District Court for the District of Massachusetts. She maintains an active pro bono practice, focused primarily on prisoner advocacy litigation.
