WilmerHale Partner Jamie Gorelick Named One of Washingtonian’s “Power 150”

October 5, 2007

The Washingtonian named WilmerHale Partner Jamie Gorelick one of the “Power 150,” a list of Washington, D.C.’s most influential people in business, culture, real estate, religion, education, law and more. The honor was determined by a survey of over 2,100 area leaders. Ms. Gorelick, a long-time litigator and partner in the firm's Litigation Department, co-chairs the Defense, National Security and Government Contacts Department, and chairs the Public Policy and Strategy Department at WilmerHale.

Gorelick was one of the few honorees in the article that was featured with a photo. The caption states that she’s “been at the top of Government (Clinton Justice and Defense Departments), business (Fannie Mae), and law (WilmerHale).” Gorelick, who joined the firm in 2003, was previously one of the longest serving Deputy Attorneys General of the United States. She arrived at the Justice Department from the Department of Defense, where she was General Counsel. Prior to joining WilmerHale, Gorelick was the Vice Chair of Fannie Mae. She currently serves on the boards of several corporate and non-profit organizations.

Jamie Gorelick has been honored with numerous awards and recognitions this year, including being named in TheBest Lawyers in America2008, one of The National Law Journal’s 50 Most Influential Women Lawyers in America List 2007, as well as being ranked in 2007’s Chambers USA.
