May 1, 2006

WilmerHale’s 2005 Washington, DC, revenue placed the firm as the second largest in the Washington metropolitan area, as reported by Legal Times. Only $2.5 million separates WilmerHale from the largest law firm in Washington, Hogan & Hartson. WilmerHale’s Washington, DC revenue was reported as $360 million dollars, nearly a five percent increase from the previous year.

In a related article, Legal Times highlights the firm’s securities regulation and enforcement group, the majority of which is based in DC, as being “a top-billing practice area that remains white-hot.” Co-Managing Partner Bill Perlstein’s picture and additional comments also ran on the front page of the May 1, 2006, issue in an article titled “Retooling, Reviving, Thriving” about the history of the top law firms in DC.
