WilmerHale Welcomes John Hintz to New York Litigation Department

WilmerHale is delighted to announce a notable addition to the Litigation Department in its New York office. Partner John M. Hintz joined the firm’s New York office with over 16 years of intellectual property litigation experience.

Mr. Hintz comes to WilmerHale after spending 16 years with the intellectual property litigation boutique Fish & Neave LLP, where he began as an associate and became partner in 1998. During his time at Fish & Neave, he worked on all aspects of numerous major patent disputes and gained significant transactional, licensing and counseling experience. Mr. Hintz advised investment banks on the IP aspects of various transactions, as well as advising clients on the licensing and transfer of IP assets, government technology transfers, and methods to secure judgments and to perfect security interests in intellectual property.

Mr. Hintz received his BS from Miami University (Ohio) in 1985 and his JD, with honors, from George Washington University in 1988, where he was a member of the Law Review and the Moot Court Board. Mr. Hintz is admitted to practice in the Supreme Court of the United States; United States District Courts for the Eastern, Northern and Southern Districts of New York; United States District Court for the District of Colorado; and the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
