Firm News

For the third time, The Recorder has chosen Partner Andrea Weiss Jeffries as among the top Women Leaders in Tech Law. Those selected are considered the best in the Bay Area and according to The Recorder, are “helping to build new business models and defend them from court challenges and negotiating transformational deals that remake companies and move markets.” Jeffries is one of only 35 lawyers selected from law firms, among others that include in-house lawyers and federal prosecutors.

On September 26, 2016, The Recorder published an editorial piece on Jeffries' recent intellectual property dispute successes, mentioning her work for some of the world's leading tech companies and athletic brands.

The Top Women in Law edition also addresses the importance of ensuring that the next generation of women are more equally represented in tech law and when asked what can be done to tackle tech's gender gap, Jeffries replied, “Continued encouragement of girls in math and science, starting in grade school. Inspiring women engineers and scientists to continue to advance in their careers during the years they are raising children.”

Jeffries and all honorees were celebrated at a September 29 dinner reception at the W San Francisco.
