Tara D. Elliott Recognized in Diversity Journal’s Black Heritage Month Feature

Firm News

Diversity Journal has recognized Partner Tara D. Elliott in its Black Heritage Month feature, which provides lawyers of color an opportunity to speak out and provide insight, advice and inspiration to minorities.

Among Elliott’s advice, she discusses the value of trusting her instincts and the importance of role models and mentors, and provides guidance for those just beginning their career. She states, “Whether fair or not, first impressions are enduring—so come out of the blocks very strong, as if you want to win. In non-metaphor speak, I believe that one starting his or her career needs to instill confidence in others by striving for excellence at every task, being responsive and reliable, showing interest and enthusiasm, anticipating beyond the present, being a good corporate citizen, and embracing a high ethical standard.”

Elliott is a seasoned trial-court and appellate lawyer with extensive experience handling high-stakes intellectual property disputes. She has a unique combination of private practice and government experience that provides distinctive value for her clients. Elliott handles multi-million dollar matters involving patent infringement, corporate litigation concerning breaches of fiduciary duties, trade secrets, e-commerce and cybersecurity. Her major clients include Fortune 500 companies.
