Jason Kropp Named a Boston Rising Star by The National Law Journal

The National Law Journal has named Partner Jason L. Kropp to its 2014 Boston Rising Stars, a list honoring 40 outstanding lawyers age of 40 or under who "have accomplished big feats" and "also are improving their communities by volunteering their sharp legal skills to a variety of nonprofit organizations."

Since joining the firm in 2002, Kropp has proven himself to be an outstanding member of WilmerHale's transactional practice and has made significant contributions to the firm and to Boston's technology community. To date during 2014, he has represented clients with respect to financing transactions raising nearly $2.4 billion, including Fractyl Laboratories in its $40 million Series C financing, DC Devices in its $34 million Series D financing, and a global institutional investor in the $1.2 billion preferred stock financing of Uber Technologies. Kropp also worked with Kiva Systems' in its sale to Amazon.com, EqualLogic in its sale to Dell, and Millennium Pharmaceuticals' in its sale to Takeda.

In addition, Kropp focuses on the development of junior lawyers, provides pro bono counsel to environmental organizations, and regularly takes part in local fundraising events for nonprofits.
