Competition and Innovation - Recent Developments in EU Antitrust and Merger Policy

Speaking Engagement

The Brussels School of Competition is pleased to announce the half-day conference "Competition and Innovation - Recent Developments in EU Antitrust and Merger Policy," which will explore why innovation is high on the EU competition policy agenda. In several recent high profile merger cases, the commission has been considering whether increased concentration could undermine innovation. And in the antitrust field, policy initiatives are currently being developed with a view to providing guidance to facilitate the licensing environment for new technology development, such as loT, 5G and other future applications. This conference seeks to help understand the practical implications of those policies, as well as to provide an open forum for debate with key stakeholders.

WilmerHale Counsel Roberto Grasso will participate in a panel discussion entitled "Patents and EU Antitrust Policy: Towards More Guidance for the Licensing of SEPS?"
