The New Zealand Centre of International Economic Law and the New Zealand Centre for Public Law present a panel discussion focused on the Rainbow Warrior—30 years since its sinking—chaired by lawyer and former political journalist Linda Clark and featuring Wilmer Cutler Pickering Hale and Dorr LLP Partner Gary Born. Mr. Born acted as counsel for Greenpeace in the Greenpeace v France arbitration, which concluded with an award of damages in favor of Greenpeace. Other panelists include Dr. Gerard Curry (counsel for Alain Mafart and Dominique Prieur), Sir Kenneth Keith, Bill Mansfield, Sir Geoffrey Palmer and Dr. Penelope Ridings. The panel discussion will be followed by refreshments.
