The Practising Law Institute’s (PLI) 19th Annual Consumer Financial Services Institute will explore in detail important developments in consumer financial services regulation and litigation. Topics to be discussed include the latest regulatory and enforcement initiatives of federal and state regulators, the regulatory and litigation priorities of consumer advocates in the coming year, and the implications of the US Supreme Court ruling in AT&T Mobility v. Concepcion and American Express v. Italian Colors for consumer arbitration agreements. Panelists will also provide an update on the latest class actions and state attorneys general lawsuits against financial services companies and address how the Dodd-Frank Act and Consumer Financial Protection Bureau’s (CFPB) activities will affect practice.
